On Sunday 15th August, we met once again at the New Madeira Hotel on Brighton’s sea front. Following the usual Carry On themed quiz, it was time to welcome our guests.

Ray as Georgio in Carry On Abroad

Ray Brooks, a local lad to Brighton, was on hand to chat about his lengthy career, and to promote his newly published autobiography, ‘Learning My Lines’, which he happily signed for those attending. Ray only made one Carry On appearance, as Georgio, the heir to the Palace Hotel, in Carry On Abroad.
"I enjoyed the day. I've never done anything like that before so I felt a bit nervous, but I have to say everyone seemed to be welcoming. Time passed very quickly. Thanks."

Georgina Moon as Sally in Carry On Behind
Two-time Carry On actress Georgina Moon and her good friend, the wonderful Maddy Smith joined in the fun to recall their Carry On memories, and their experiences of both playing Erotica in Up Pompeii, with Maddy replacing TV's Georgina for the big screen version.
Georgina featured in Camping and Behind, whilst Matron was Madeline's only Carry On.
"Thank you... for making last Sunday possible, and looking after us so well. All Good wishes, Georgina."

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at your "Carry On..." event in Brighton. It was so good, also, to be with my dear friend Georgina Moon.
Thank you so much for kindly inviting me."

Our panel was completed by the lovely Vicki Woolf, who was brought up in Brighton. Making her Carry On event debut with us, Vicki captivated the audience with her sharp sense of humour, and shared her memories of her time working in the profession, and, of course, being the Khasi’s number 3 wife.
Anyone for Tiffin?
Vicki’s actor husband David Belcher was also in attendance. David worked with Carry On star Jim Dale in "Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall", and appeared in "Confessions of a Pop Performer", but we don't hold that against him.....
